Eleven new students started their extra occupational MBA studies at the Düsseldorf Business School (DBS) on 18 November at the Oeconomicum. The MBA programme “General Management” provides practice-oriented competences on a scientific basis and will qualify the students for a leadership position.
The English-language programme is particularly international this year: The eleven students come from ten different countries (eg Egypt, China, Colombia, but also Germany), which will bring very different perspectives into the study programme. The professional experience and the necessary first degree have also taken place in very different fields. In addition to an architect, there are engineers and economists. For the first time in the history of the Düsseldorf Business School, more women than men are studying in this programme. The Academic Director of the Düsseldorf Business School, Prof. Dr. Christoph J. Börner, paid tribute to the new students for starting their studies in addition to demanding work. To face this challenge is a testament to the highest motivation. He pointed out that the previous alumni of the DBS confirm, that they have benefited from the MBA studies in many ways.
